How to get an OS for used computers I buy?
I am starting up a computer repair shop in my town and one of my plans i would like to do is to buy used computers, refurbish and resell them. I have hit a hard spot though. Most of the PCs im finding have no OS and PC people want to trade in with me, they want completely erased (understadably). How can I go about getting an Operating system onto these systems other than buying OEM software (since it’s like 100 extra bucks)
Re-install the original OS utilizing the original key or install one of the Linux’s. They’re open source OS’s. Knoppix is a very popular version.
You must be wary, though, because your customers will want service after the sale and you must be prepared to answer questions about Linux!!!!
